Florida's Governor An Alien?

Photograph hits Facebook as Rick Scott's name floated as possible GOP Presidential contender

The humor behind the picture is tempered by the fact half of Florida's voters don't even want Rick Scott as their governor. Only half the voters in Florida actually cast ballots for him last fall, in what was among the closest gubernatorial races in the state since the 1990's.

Now, with Donald Trump saying he won't run for President, and Mike Huckabee being considered as a possible replacement for Glenn Beck on Fox, Florida's GOP governor - a Tea Party Fav - is being mentioned in news columns and at some town hall meetings as a possible contender for President.

The issue is whether he would actually qualify, however, given the uproar over President Obama's place of birth, which has been confirmed as Hawaii. Many on Facebook, who are obvious Democrats, believe Rick Scott could only have come from another planet, a derisive way to explain the politics Scott has championed since he's taken office.

Well, we can't address the issue of whether Rick Scott really is an alien (probably not), but we do know he's even pissed off Republicans who say his government spending cuts are too steep and too fast. In fact, a Republican-dominated Florida Legislature even refused to pass Scott's proposed business tax cuts, during its most recent session.
